Vancouver to Alaska Cruise on Norweigan Sun Review

I started writing this on the last day of the cruise and now I have been back for months so the post will change from in the cruise to after. In summary it was great and all four of us ranging in ages from 9 to late 40’s we all want to go back. I bought a 24 hour internet package fot $35 so I can upload all my pictures and hopefully get this post done. I’m currently writing this while getting my hair done at the spa.  The cruise has been great but very busy. I’m having trouble staying awake. It’s now over a week later and I’m home. I had a plane fiasco where we sat on the runway for a few hours and then returned to the gate. I inevitably got sick after that and still am but I really want to get these Alaska cruise blog...

I Tried Starbucks Vegan Sugar Cookie Latte with Coconut, Almond, and Oat milk

This is an update to the post below. I finally tried the sugar cookie latte with almond milk. This is my favourite out of all three that I have tried. I had requested 1 pump of syrup the grande usually comes with 4. It was missing some sweetness but that was my fault I recommend having 3 or 4 pumps of syrup if you try this. The drink was still really good. This is going to be my favourite Starbucks drink while it lasts. 
 


The sugar cookie latte from Starbucks is their first vegan holiday drink. In Canada it comes with Oat Milk and in the US it comes with almond milk in Canada. I don’t like oat milk so I substituted coconut milk. 

This drink was good it taste like a perfectly sweetened latte. It has sprinkles on it other than that it didn’t remind me of a cookie at all. I liked it though it had a perfect sweetness to coffee ratio. Since most people will not order their drink with coconut milk I will try it with other plant milk.


I tried the sugar cookie latte the way it comes in Canada with oat milk. I like this better than the one with coconut milk. The consistency of the oat milk is very similar to dairy milk. I did not find this drink sweet I could have used a pump more of syrup usually I ask for less. I ordered a short size which only has 2 pumps of syrup I usually get tall size which has three. If you are looking for a good vegan holiday drink that reminds you of a dairy latte this is the one.

It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. 2025 Contest wins updated Oct 2025

Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so I’m going to start a new post for 2025. Updated October 2025 It’s mid October and I already have four prizes to write about  Updated September 2025 I received two more prizes from the Coke contest that I won the prize pack from in August. The first item was the emoji cup.  It’s a thicker cup but I think it’s a plastic cup with a wiggly straw. Nice cup but it’s not dishwasher safe so I will probably give it away. I just went to look up the value and people are selling this for $25. Its value is $14.99.  The best part of this prize was learning exactly what those mysterious lockers are for. I’ve lived in my building for three years we have Canada Post lockers, and a package room but there are these other lockers. None of my neighbors knew what it was for. Post Menopausal Bleeding MRI and results

 If you haven’t read my previous posts read part 1   Post Menopausal bleeding and Ultrasounds . It was getting long so I decided to start a new post. I got the call for an MRI at the end of March. It was scheduled for a couple days later at 2 am at Montford hospital. I only know about this hospital because I work for National Defence and we have offices there. I knew it at as the military hospital but it’s actually a separate building. It was still cold and snowing in Ottawa so I wasn’t looking forward to having to be out at 2am. I was also really busy at work but the only options may have been worse weather.  I really didn’t want to take UBER that late when it’s also freezing outside but there are only a few people I could ask to drive me at 2am on a weeknight. I am really grateful that I have some really great friends in Ottawa and my friend drove me and came inside with me.
