Westjet economy vs Air Canada business class

In June I knew I was going to Vancouver from Ottawa and if you know me I can’t buy anything unless it’s on sale. If you are new to my blog I lived in Vancouver almost my whole life and last year I moved to Ottawa so I go to Vancouver frequently to visit friends and relatives. The hotel I like to stay at usually sends me a personal promotional rate once a month. I had started looking to visit in May when I wanted to go to Plant Expo but the prices were too high. I still wanted to visit and I was looking at flights earlier. While searching I thought the business class flight is less than it normally costs to fly economy.  I was tempted to book it and cancel later if the hotel didn’t work out which I didn’t do it but I should have because if I booked it then would have been less than my economy flight I sti

I ate all the vegan food in Vancouver BC Canada June 2023

I was in Vancouver for a week in mid June 2023. All I did was meet people and eat vegan food. I got a chance to visit a lot of the new vegan places. If you are new to my blog I used to live in Vancouver for almost my whole life and I moved to Ottawa a year ago. Ottawa has a lot of vegan businesses and if not fully vegan almost every place will have at least one vegan option. I find Vancouver is different in that there aren’t a lot of vegan businesses and many places don't have vegan options so when one opens  everyone commutes to try it.    I Landed in YVR on Saturday evening and on the way out before baggage claim there is an Upmeals vending machine. I filtered it to Vegan to take the pictures. I didn’t buy anything because I still needed to get my luggage and I was planning to get the vegan breakfast sandwich from 7-11. I have yet to find the machine when I leave the airport would be great to get something for the plane ride. Last time I was in Vancouver I was lucky enough to try

First day Jamaica trip Apr2023 -part 1

My trip started out by taking the train from Ottawa to Toronto and staying a few days with relatives. I really enjoyed my time in Toronto and did not blog. My best friend from Vancouver is Jamaican. We decided to go on a trip together as we could both get time off work. We have been to Jamaica together seven years ago and it was really interesting to see how it has changed. My friend and I do not have the same travel style. I have travelled a lot prepandemic with my parents that have now passed. My friend has not been to many places outside of North America her travel style is to be on the go nonstop and mine is to get some relaxation in. There was a lot of planning that went into this trip especially with us living in different provinces now. I am so thankful that I reconnected with one of my highschool friends who is now my permanent travel agent. June 3 2023 Ottawa has so many events in June

It was only Saturday afternoon when I started writing this blog is so much to do in this city. I felt like I had already done so much now it is Saturday evening and it has been a full day. Ottawa is interesting it goes from no events until May and then so many things all at once. The last two weekends I have had no plans but all the little events kept me busy. Today’s post is only about bigger events I saw on Saturday but there were also lots of small things and other big events all over.  This weekend I knew doors open Ottawa was happening and I asked my coworkers which buildings to go to. Most of the people that I asked who are from Ottawa or Quebec didn’t know what it was. I asked a few more people and got some suggestions but I didn’t have time to research where to go. I have only been in Ottawa for a year and think it’s great that there are so many interesting buildings here. Now it is Sunday afternoon and I only made it to one building so I also understand when you live somewhere
