Is Air Canada Bulkhead Seat worth an $80 upgrade

Image
I took a flight from Ottawa to Vancouver. I could see from the seating map that the flight was fully booked. I usually pay to book a window seat and then try and get a seat with no one beside me at the last minute it works 50% of the time and the planes that I have been on leaving from Ottawa are not usually full. This time was different the airport was busier than I have ever seen it. I could tell from the seating map the plane was full. It cost $40 to book a window seat. I saw a last minute opening for a bulkhead window seat and decided to try it. It cost $80 to upgrade to the bulkhead seat but the $40 I already paid would get credited. I liked the idea of having a wall in front of me on such a packed flight.  I have free check in luggage with my credit card so I usually only take a backpack to leave under my seat on the plane. If I was in the back of the plane I wait until the last minute to board. I knew I would have no storage at my seat but this seat comes with early zone 3 b...

January 30, 2016 - The mall and gym trip

Image
This past week I really haven't been doing much my school is postponed and I did work a couple of days but really just taking a one week holiday to catch up on doing nothing well my apartment doesn't seem to be self-cleaning. Wouldn't it be great if self-cleaning houses existed?  I did visit the villa casino in honour of Chinese New Year and it was packed that day I am not Chinese but I will celebrate any holiday that involves eating. I also don't want to make this blog political but a lot of my time has been spent sharing as much info on my other social media sites to hope that education will help prevent this discrimination that is happening now. I recommend reading a fellow blogger article www.canadianmomeh.com/quebec-mosque-shooting this sums up a lot of what I have been trying to express. Since I haven't been doing much thought I will blog about my weekend trip to the mall. Its a 20 minute walk for me so I did that. When I got there I wanted some tea I hav...

January 21, 2017 Life update and a twist on the no flour pancake recipe

Image
A new take on the December 18 no flour pancake recipe same ingredients different method. See the end of the blog post for the new recipe. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with blog posts. I decided to return to school to learn web development at Red Academy while still working at the schedule has been really gruelling. Changes to my life to come soon. The course has been amazing but super fast paced I am actually amazed at how much I learned in the last two weeks and that I didn't pass out from exhaustion with very little sleep. I am doing the beachbody challenge which involves three work-outs a week and 5 shakeology's a week and that's what I attribute to not getting sick on only 10 hours of sleep during the whole week. Last week I had a business dinner meeting at Cardero's in Vancouver but I didn't get any pictures. I haven't been there in year's as it is known for its seafood and in the past I felt their vegetarian options were lacking. ...

Happy New Year January 1, 2017 New Year's goals including my review on how I earned money off the internet

Happy New Year I wish all my blog readers a wonderful, prosperous 2017. I don't really believe in New Year's resolutions but I do think the new beginnings help with goal setting. Last year I had three specific goals. 1. Earn $1000 of the internet (I earned over $500 but did not meet the goal) 2. Win a trip (I didn't even come close on this one the only thing I won this year was a $50 Starbucks gift card from saveland)  3. Get healthy and Lose weight ( I did do this at the beginning at the year but what happened at the end of the year counts so I didn't meet this goal) As my friend puts in my 2017 goals are a continuation of my 2016 goals my hope is that I do better in 2017. 1. I was highly ambitious with my $1000 goal considering in 2015 I only earned $200. The rules for this are that I do not have to commit to anything I can work when I want and I have to have received payment for it to count. I also do not include discounts or loyalty rewards where I get thin...
