2026 Contest Wins

I like to have a yearly blog post of the contests I win. It is nice to have these posts to look back on for memories. You can see the previous posts here  2024 Contest Wins  and  2025 Contest Prizes I haven’t won anything since October last year. If you know me I usually have some decent luck but it’s been an unlucky few months for me. I currently have been out of my apartment for almost two weeks because of my buildings water valve breaking right outside my unit. I have had so many more things happen lately but let’s go back to contest winnings. Yesterday my old boss texted me after a long time and I was remembering how I used to win big prizes after I met him. Well I won a contest right after that so he definitely brought my good luck back. The mall had a contest for its newsletter subscribers for a $25 gift card it was an instant win, I received the gift card today. Reese’s Peanut Butter and Vegan Peanut Butter Cups

It’s Halloween night I was going to make vegan peanut butter cups tonight. I saw in the flyer for showcase stores which are an as seen on TV store that they had Reese’s peanut butter. The regular price was $20 but it was on sale for $10. The question was it worth buying a $10 jar of peanut butter just so I could have vegan peanut butter cups? 



I followed the method on Thee Burger Dude’s YouTube channel. Scooped out the peanut butter and put it in the fridge while I melted the chocolate. I had a few bars of Lindt dark chocolate from when they were a great price. I melted one bar by putting a bowl on top of the steamer basket in my always pan. 

My cups don’t look good because I didn’t work fast enough with the melted chocolate they taste great though. Make sure you have a spoon ready when the chocolate is melted put a spoon of chocolate in each cup. Then put the peanut butter in the centre. Then cover with chocolate and put in the fridge. I put mine in the freezer for about twenty minutes because I have no patience. 

They tasted great. I think it’s been around a year since I had a Reese’s peanut butter cup and I remember it being too sweet. The homemade cup has the right amount of sweetness and the texture is perfect for me. Some people might prefer to add icing sugar to get more sweetness and texture. It is already perfect for my taste. It was worth buying a $10 jar of peanut butter.

It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. I won over $1300 worth of contest prizes in 2025

Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so now I have a yearly post.  Updated January 1, 2026  I only had one more win since the last update it was a $10 scratch ticket from waypoint. I have won other smaller prizes like chocolate or drinks from waypoint that I usually giveaway. This is the first time I actually went to a waypoint to get my prize. It’s a gas station convenience store very small but cute. The ticket didn’t win anything. It’s now 2026 so this will be the last update for this post. November and December were really slow for prize wins for me. November makes sense because I took a break from entering but I’m not sure what happened in December. I entered a lot sometimes that’s just the luck but hopefully I will start the year with a few wins. I do have a few small prize wins that haven’t come yet. I made a vegan Dubai chocolate bar

I wanted to try a proper vegan version of the viral  Dubai chocolate. I have tried the one from Palm bites  and  it’s good but it’s a healthier version made from dark chocolate and the pistachio is the crunch. I have also tried the cookie from Naturally Vero since they had an option to get it with my meal prep delivery. They do make a chocolate bar  but they don’t deliver it. I like the cookie filling but find it was too heavy in the cookie. Juice Dudez also has the filling in a mango pudding which is excellent but they don’t do a vegan chocolate yet. I am hoping I will convince them or any other Ottawa vendor to make one some day. In the meantime I had to make one myself.  I have asked my vendor friends to make me one even sent them the recipes but no one has yet. I really wanted to try a proper unhealthy version just once.
