Day 6 Jamaica Trip April 2024

We went for breakfast at 7:30 as we had booked a driver that was to pick us up at 8:00 am. There were plantains on the buffet this morning and they were good. We were going to Nine Mile which is Bob Marley’s house and some other sightseeing. We couldn’t arrange for the driver to pick up my friends aunt as she lives too far away. We will try and have her come to the resort tomorrow. It’s our last day and I really want to spend one day relaxing at the resort before we leave. Tomorrow is also 4/20 and all over Ocho Rios were signs for parties and discounts. I don’t want to get stuck on the traffic.  The road to 9 mile was so bumpy I spent most of the time holding on while listening to my friend and the driver banter and flirt. It is pretty rare that someone can keep up with my friends feistiness so it was entertaining. There were some great views from the window but I couldn’t get any pictures the ride was too bumpy. The roads in Jamaica are very narrow so there is always honking to avoid

Pizza Kit

 Costco sells pizza kits which are pizza crusts and tomato sauce. They have a few different brands I can’t remember the name of the brand I bought it was an Italian name. 

The package came with a bag to freeze the crusts and sauce that I will use later. It is very convenient as the sauce is individual packs as well. 

The crust was the perfect size for my air fryer oven. I used ingredients I had in my house. I spread the sauce then added vegan cheese, frozen grilled vegetables, pineapple, grape tomatoes and topped with vegan Parmesan. 

The pizza cooked in the air fryer oven for around ten minutes I turned the tray a couple of times and broiled for a minute. Then I added the little bit of fresh basil I had in my house. 

I think it turned out great. The vegan cheese melted really nicely. It tasted better than a frozen pizza maybe not pizzeria quality. Great quality for a pizza made at home in ten minutes.

It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. It is about seven months after the procedure now.  Where I live you stay overnight in the hospital for pain management they give you a self controlled morphine pump. There are other places where you will go home 4 hours after the procedure. I remember being in my room and people telling me they were going to put things in a locker I asked them to give me the ginger coconut water I had in the bag. I knew I wasn't going to be allowed to get up for hours nor did I feel like it I didn't realize that I wouldn't be allowed to get up all night because of the urinary catheter. Fibroids, Ultrasound, MRI and UFE during a pandemic

This has been a two year journey so far I am not sure why I have been procrastinating on writing this. I think it’s very important to that woman talk about their experiences. I did not know what fibroids were until I was diagnosed with them.   I went to my doctor one day because it had been a few months since I had a period. Previous to that I was getting them every 2-4 weeks. There was no chance that I was pregnant and I had started a job where I was the only female in the office. In the past my cycle was influenced by other woman. I was not around any so I originally thought it was normal then I wondered if I was going into early menopause. I was in my forties and started my period when I was 10.  My doctor assured me that because I have hypothyroidism and low iron irregular cycles are normal. In June I knew I was going to Vancouver from Ottawa and if you know me I can’t buy anything unless it’s on sale. If you are new to my blog I lived in Vancouver almost my whole life and last year I moved to Ottawa so I go to Vancouver frequently to visit friends and relatives.
