This post will mostly be about the vegan food I ate on my last Vancouver trip. My main purpose of this trip was to visit older relatives but there was a secondary purpose of visiting my mom’s grave for the first time. I left from Ottawa airport in the evening but I hadn’t eaten much that day. I usually don’t get food on planes but I was hungry and they had a vegan wrap. It was good. You can read about my flight experience here Is AirCanada bulkhead seat worth an $80 Flights from Ottawa usually arrive in Vancouver in the evening. Before exiting the gates there is a cafe that has to live for treats. Rebel cookies were on sale at the store. There is very little vegan food around my hotel so I stocked up for the week. After getting luggage there is a 7-11 in the airport to get some essentials for the trip. I always look to see if they have the vegan breakfast sandwich I had it one time but haven’t seen it again. It has been two years since my mom passed away and I had nev...
Pizza Kit

Costco sells pizza kits which are pizza crusts and tomato sauce. They have a few different brands I can’t remember the name of the brand I bought it was an Italian name.
The package came with a bag to freeze the crusts and sauce that I will use later. It is very convenient as the sauce is individual packs as well.
The crust was the perfect size for my air fryer oven. I used ingredients I had in my house. I spread the sauce then added vegan cheese, frozen grilled vegetables, pineapple, grape tomatoes and topped with vegan Parmesan.
The pizza cooked in the air fryer oven for around ten minutes I turned the tray a couple of times and broiled for a minute. Then I added the little bit of fresh basil I had in my house.
I think it turned out great. The vegan cheese melted really nicely. It tasted better than a frozen pizza maybe not pizzeria quality. Great quality for a pizza made at home in ten minutes.

Recovery Six months after Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. You can read them here my-experience-having-uterine-fibroid.html and Fibroids-ultrasound-mri-and-ufe-.html Now it is time to talk about recovery. I will start with right after the procedure to now. It is about seven months after the procedure now. Where I live you stay overnight in the hospital for pain management they give you a self controlled morphine pump. There are other places where you will go home 4 hours after the procedure. I remember being in my room and people telling me they were going to put things in a locker I asked them to give me the ginger coconut water I had in the bag. I knew I wasn't going to be allowed to get up for hours nor did I feel like it I didn't realize that I wouldn't be allowed to get up all night because of the urinary catheter. It didn't matter because I had no desire to get up ...
Post Menopausal bleeding, ultrasounds, biopsy, women’s health center
If you haven’t read my previous blog posts about fibroids and UFE this post will make more sense after reading these posts Recovery Six months after UFE Fibroids, Ultrasound, MRI, UFE during a Pandemic Since I don’t have any pictures to go along with this post enjoy the scenery pictures that are from Vancouver and Ottawa. I went into menopause in my forties after having uterine fibroid embolization for fibroids. I was loving menopause not worrying about bleeding was so great. All the symptoms I had except for a few were easier than dealing with fibroid periods. I went to Jamaica with my friend in April and she got hers on the trip and I was like I don’t miss those days. She was lucky her's only lasted a few days but mine always lasted longer than my trip. Almost exactly three years after UFE I went to the bathroom in the morning and there was blood in the toilet. I thought okay I’m not sure what this is maybe it’s just a one time thing. I hadn’t realized it at the time bu...
