My adventures getting routine bloodwork and medication refills in Ottawa

My crazy adventures just need to be documented with random pictures of Ottawa sometimes. I have hypothyroidism so I routinely get blood work done at least once a year sometimes every six months to ensure I have the right dose of medication. This has been the most interesting session I have ever had. I’m currently waiting for someone to fax my requisition because they lost it.  Let’s go back. It’s very difficult to get a family doctor in Ottawa. I am very lucky to have a retired doctor. He only works in the office for half a day once a week. This timing conflicts with my work meetings but I took a couple hours off to go to the appointment as I’m on my last refill. I also wanted to talk to my doctor. I arrived for my appointment and it’s often the case where I have to wait. I waited for quite a while in the waiting room which is normal there are other doctors at this clinic so can’t tell what the wait for my doctor is. 5000 hits on Mturk and online earnings update October 2020

I finally hit 5000 hits on mturk. This is a milestone for many mturkers because it has potential to open up more hits. I only do things I enjoy on mturk so it took me years but I am happy I finally did it. Although I don´t spend a lot of time on mturk you can see that over the last few years I have earned over $1200 US dollars which has given me some nice entertainment money. I work on many different platforms in my sparetime I think my goal for this year was $1500. This is doing things I enjoy in my spare time. Many of these platforms are based on ad revenue and the pandemic made that decrease. Things are coming back now but 2020 has been a special year even in the online earnings world. I don´t know if I will make the goal this year but I will definately be able to get to $1000 this year. I have cashed out $750 this year and hopefully the rest of the year will be better. The platforms that are good constantly change and part of the work is finding platforms that have good work and pay fairly. These are the list of what I have made so far. prolific 270.94 mturk 225.65 Quora 74.98 other 87.31 Task Up 38.00 field agent 29.75 PineCone 24.00 Total 750.94 Prolific is the best platform the pay is in British Pounds and the pay rates are good. It is mostly academic surveys so there is not that much work. Mturk has a lot of different work but you need to filter to find things that are fair. Quora pays based on ad revenue but its passive revenue once the initial work is done. Task Up is a newer platform and has potential. Some of the other sites were good in the past but this year the work has reduced. I will keep working towards my goals. Many platforms are now restricing new users because of the amount of people wanting to work due to the pandemic. I went into menopause in my forties after having uterine fibroid embolization for fibroids. I was loving menopause not worrying about bleeding was so great. All the symptoms I had except for a few were easier than dealing with fibroid periods. I went to Jamaica with my friend in April and she got hers on the trip and I was like I don’t miss those days. I made a vegan Dubai chocolate bar

I wanted to try a proper vegan version of the viral  Dubai chocolate. I have tried the one from Palm bites  and  it’s good but it’s a healthier version made from dark chocolate and the pistachio is the crunch. I have also tried the cookie from Naturally Vero since they had an option to get it with my meal prep delivery. They do make a chocolate bar  but they don’t deliver it. I like the cookie filling but find it was too heavy in the cookie. Juice Dudez also has the filling in a mango pudding which is excellent but they don’t do a vegan chocolate yet. I am hoping I will convince them or any other Ottawa vendor to make one some day. In the meantime I had to make one myself.  I have asked my vendor friends to make me one even sent them the recipes but no one has yet. I really wanted to try a proper unhealthy version just once.
