I tried the new Starbucks Pineapple Refresher

  I had stars that were going to expire so I decided to try the new refresher. I have seen some reviews of people that love it and others of people that hate it. It’s often sold out but I was in a location where they had it.  I am not really a fan of pineapple flavours. I like other refreshers from Starbucks and I love passion fruit so thought it might be good. There are options to add coconut milk or lemonade. I always get coconut milk in my coffee but I don’t like it in refreshers and I always like lemonade. The drink at first seemed okay but it had a strange bitter aftertaste after each sip. I am not sure the addition of the lemonade made it like that but my mom and I both didn’t like it. It was drinkable but not something I would order again. I will stick to the the Mango Dragon Fruit refresher as my go to refresher from Starbucks.  Let me know if you have tried it in the comments or on Instagram @livingottawalocal.

October 23, 2017 Facebook recipe #2 dole whip soft serve clone using only 3 ingredients

I substituted mango for pineapple because I like mango better plus its what I had in the freezer.
All that is needed is some frozen mango or pineapple, a frozen banana, and coconut milk. These are all things I always have around and its a great dessert that is a little healthier.



 I blended in the magic bullet and I did have to switch blades as I originally used the whipping blade which couldn't break up the frozen mango. Just a couple of switches of the blades and it turned out great and I put some in the freezer for later.





This is really delicious, healthy, and easy I will make it again.

My experience having a Uterine Fibroid Embolization

It has been a month since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). Today is the first day since I have been able to walk to the mall. Prior to the procedure this was a normal everyday walk for me it takes around 20 minutes. I’m currently sitting outside the mall drinking Starbucks preparing for the walk home. Fibroids, Ultrasound, MRI and UFE during a pandemic

This has been a two year journey so far I am not sure why I have been procrastinating on writing this. I think it’s very important to that woman talk about their experiences. I did not know what fibroids were until I was diagnosed with them.   I went to my doctor one day because it had been a few months since I had a period. Previous to that I was getting them every 2-4 weeks. There was no chance that I was pregnant and I had started a job where I was the only female in the office. In the past my cycle was influenced by other woman. I was not around any so I originally thought it was normal then I wondered if I was going into early menopause.
