Vancouver and Bowen Island trip October 2024 - lots of vegan food

This post will mostly be about the vegan food I ate on my last Vancouver trip. My main purpose of this trip was to visit older relatives but there was a secondary purpose of visiting my mom’s grave for the first time.  I left from Ottawa airport in the evening but I hadn’t eaten much that day. I usually don’t get food on planes but I was hungry and they had a vegan wrap. It was good. Before exiting the gates there is a cafe that has to live for treats. Rebel cookies were on sale at the store. There is very little vegan food around my hotel so I stocked up for the week. After getting luggage there is a 7-11 in the airport to get some essentials for the trip. Easy Vegetable Soup with Rice Noodles


When it starts to hail and storm in the middle of May I stay inside and use things in my pantry. This soup is so delicious. 



a quarter package of rice noodles
Frozen veggies (pc corn with jalapeños, artic gardens pasta vegetables)
vegetable broth
spices (salt,pepper, turmeric) 

add everything except rice noodles to soup maker
add water to fill to line 

set to chunky setting

soak rice noodles

when soup maker is ready add noodles


set timer on soup maker to chunky but unplug after 5 minutes

delicious soup is ready
