Day 6 Jamaica Trip April 2024

We went for breakfast at 7:30 as we had booked a driver that was to pick us up at 8:00 am. There were plantains on the buffet this morning and they were good. We were going to Nine Mile which is Bob Marley’s house and some other sightseeing. We couldn’t arrange for the driver to pick up my friends aunt as she lives too far away. We will try and have her come to the resort tomorrow. It’s our last day and I really want to spend one day relaxing at the resort before we leave. Tomorrow is also 4/20 and all over Ocho Rios were signs for parties and discounts. I don’t want to get stuck on the traffic.  The road to Nine mile was so narrow and bumpy. I spent most of the time holding on while listening to my friend and the driver banter and flirt. It is pretty rare that someone can keep up with my friends feistiness so it was entertaining. Plant based cheese sticks

We have a grocery store here called No frills. The name describes it prices are good but the quality is also good. It is a nice grocery store. 

Presidents choice is the brand that no frills and the other grocery stores in the same group of companies carry. They have a good line of vegan products. 

The last few times I have visited No Frills I have looked at the plant based Mozzarella sticks. The box was almost $8 I was hoping they would go on sale. They didn’t so I finally decided to try them. 

I cooked them in the air fryer and probably overcooked them so the cheese came out. 


These were much better than I was expecting them to be. The cheese was like cream cheese. It would be great as a jalapeño popper. 

I will definitely buy these again and now I think the box of 20 for less than $8 was a good price.

It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. There are other places where you will go home 4 hours after the procedure. I remember being in my room and people telling me they were going to put things in a locker I asked them to give me the ginger coconut water I had in the bag. I knew I wasn't going to be allowed to get up for hours nor did I feel like it I didn't realize that I wouldn't be allowed to get up all night because of the urinary catheter. Fibroids, Ultrasound, MRI and UFE during a pandemic

This has been a two year journey so far I am not sure why I have been procrastinating on writing this. I think it’s very important to that woman talk about their experiences. I did not know what fibroids were until I was diagnosed with them.   I went to my doctor one day because it had been a few months since I had a period. Previous to that I was getting them every 2-4 weeks. There was no chance that I was pregnant and I had started a job where I was the only female in the office. In the past my cycle was influenced by other woman. I was not around any so I originally thought it was normal then I wondered if I was going into early menopause. I was in my forties and started my period when I was 10.  My doctor assured me that because I have hypothyroidism and low iron irregular cycles are normal. In June I knew I was going to Vancouver from Ottawa and if you know me I can’t buy anything unless it’s on sale. If you are new to my blog I lived in Vancouver almost my whole life and last year I moved to Ottawa so I go to Vancouver frequently to visit friends and relatives.
