2026 Contest Wins

I like to have a yearly blog post of the contests I win. It is nice to have these posts to look back on for memories. You can see the previous posts here  2024 Contest Wins  and  2025 Contest Prizes I haven’t won anything since October last year. If you know me I usually have some decent luck but it’s been an unlucky few months for me. I currently have been out of my apartment for almost two weeks because of my buildings water valve breaking right outside my unit. I have had so many more things happen lately but let’s go back to contest winnings. Yesterday my old boss texted me after a long time and I was remembering how I used to win big prizes after I met him. Well I won a contest right after that so he definitely brought my good luck back. The mall had a contest for its newsletter subscribers for a $25 gift card it was an instant win, I received the gift card today. Plant based cheese sticks

We have a grocery store here called No frills. The name describes it prices are good but the quality is also good. It is a nice grocery store. 

Presidents choice is the brand that no frills and the other grocery stores in the same group of companies carry. They have a good line of vegan products. 

The last few times I have visited No Frills I have looked at the plant based Mozzarella sticks. The box was almost $8 I was hoping they would go on sale. They didn’t so I finally decided to try them. 

I cooked them in the air fryer and probably overcooked them so the cheese came out. 


These were much better than I was expecting them to be. The cheese was like cream cheese. It would be great as a jalapeño popper. 

I will definitely buy these again and now I think the box of 20 for less than $8 was a good price.

It has been over six months since I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). I have some previous blogs about getting diagnosed and the day of the procedure. I won over $1300 worth of contest prizes in 2025

Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so now I have a yearly post.  Updated January 1, 2026  I only had one more win since the last update it was a $10 scratch ticket from waypoint. I have won other smaller prizes like chocolate or drinks from waypoint that I usually giveaway. This is the first time I actually went to a waypoint to get my prize. It’s a gas station convenience store very small but cute. The ticket didn’t win anything. It’s now 2026 so this will be the last update for this post. November and December were really slow for prize wins for me. November makes sense because I took a break from entering but I’m not sure what happened in December. I made a vegan Dubai chocolate bar

I wanted to try a proper vegan version of the viral  Dubai chocolate. I have tried the one from Palm bites  and  it’s good but it’s a healthier version made from dark chocolate and the pistachio is the crunch. I have also tried the cookie from Naturally Vero since they had an option to get it with my meal prep delivery. They do make a chocolate bar  but they don’t deliver it. I like the cookie filling but find it was too heavy in the cookie. Juice Dudez also has the filling in a mango pudding which is excellent but they don’t do a vegan chocolate yet. I am hoping I will convince them or any other Ottawa vendor to make one some day. In the meantime I had to make one myself.  I have asked my vendor friends to make me one even sent them the recipes but no one has yet. I really wanted to try a proper unhealthy version just once.
