I like to have a yearly blog post of the contests I win. It is nice to have these posts to look back on for memories. You can see the previous posts here  2024 Contest Wins  and  2025 Contest Prizes I haven’t won anything since October last year. If you know me I usually have some decent luck but it’s been an unlucky few months for me. I currently have been out of my apartment for almost two weeks because of my buildings water valve breaking right outside my unit. I have had so many more things happen lately but let’s go back to contest winnings. Yesterday my old boss texted me after a long time and I was remembering how I used to win big prizes after I met him. Well I won a contest right after that so he definitely brought my good luck back. The mall had a contest for its newsletter subscribers for a $25 gift card it was an instant win, I received the gift card today. I tried Purdy’s vegan sweet Georgia Browns chocolate

Purdy’s chocolate has really been stepping up their vegan chocolate selections. They have created a mylk using rice powder. Originally they introduced a few types of simple chocolate bars. I have tried all of them and they are all good. 

Recently Purdy’s released vegan sweet Georgia browns. I have had the non vegan version and they are not my favourite but they are very popular. I always love to support companies when they introduce new vegan products so I tried them expecting I wouldn’t like them. I was wrong. 

The Sweet Georgia browns come in either a package of 2 or a bigger package. The package of 2 for the non vegan costs $5.50 and the vegan costs $6. It is understandable the vegan ones will cost more as they are a new product and I personally think the ingredients are better. 


They are a little difficult to get out of the package because there is no chocolate on the bottom. It is a lot of pecans in the beautiful vegan caramel  topped with chocolate. 

These are delicious and well worth the price. They are packed with nuts. The caramel is not insanely sweet it matches perfect with the nuts and holds everything together well.

The only thing I wished would be different was more chocolate. It does have a good amount of chocolate on it but I would prefer to have a little more maybe on the bottom to make it easier to get out of the package. 

I will definitely be buying the vegan Sweet Georgia Browns again and look forward to seeing more vegan options at Purdy’s chocolate in the future.

I won over $1300 worth of contest prizes in 2025

Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so now I have a yearly post.  Updated January 1, 2026  I only had one more win since the last update it was a $10 scratch ticket from waypoint. I have won other smaller prizes like chocolate or drinks from waypoint that I usually giveaway. This is the first time I actually went to a waypoint to get my prize. It’s a gas station convenience store very small but cute. The ticket didn’t win anything. It’s now 2026 so this will be the last update for this post. November and December were really slow for prize wins for me. November makes sense because I took a break from entering but I’m not sure what happened in December. I made a vegan Dubai chocolate bar

I wanted to try a proper vegan version of the viral  Dubai chocolate. I have tried the one from Palm bites  and  it’s good but it’s a healthier version made from dark chocolate and the pistachio is the crunch. I have also tried the cookie from Naturally Vero since they had an option to get it with my meal prep delivery. They do make a chocolate bar  but they don’t deliver it. I like the cookie filling but find it was too heavy in the cookie. Juice Dudez also has the filling in a mango pudding which is excellent but they don’t do a vegan chocolate yet. I am hoping I will convince them or any other Ottawa vendor to make one some day. In the meantime I had to make one myself.  I have asked my vendor friends to make me one even sent them the recipes but no one has yet. I really wanted to try a proper unhealthy version just once.
