2 ingredient High Protein Vegan Bagels with Gluten Free recipe

Image
I know you are all going to ask for a recipe.  I don’t actually measure ingredients or follow recipes but I will try to give you a recipe at the end of the post.  I started by making a 2 ingredient bagel. This is usually made with self rising flour and yogurt. I don’t have self rising flour so I added a 1/2 each teaspoon of baking powder and baking soda. I also added 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast and a pinch of salt for flavour.  The only vegan yogurt I have tried that I like is the lime flavour high protein silk. I like the texture and the taste of this one. I was a bit worried that the lime flavour wouldn’t taste good in this bagel but I like the way it turned out. You can use any yogurt you want but try and use a thicker one. I used a third of a cup just add some and mix with a spoon until all the flour is incorporated.  I shaped it by hand let it rest for 5 minutes. I preheated the airfryer oven and air fried for 20 minutes.  This was perfect: chewy on the out...

First day Jamaica trip Apr2023 -part 1

Image
My trip started out by taking the train from Ottawa to Toronto and staying a few days with relatives. I really enjoyed my time in Toronto and did not blog. My best friend from Vancouver is Jamaican. We decided to go on a trip together as we could both get time off work. We have been to Jamaica together seven years ago and it was really interesting to see how it has changed. My friend and I do not have the same travel style. I have travelled a lot prepandemic with my parents that have now passed. My friend has not been to many places outside of North America her travel style is to be on the go nonstop and mine is to get some relaxation in. There was a lot of planning that went into this trip especially with us living in different provinces now. I am so thankful that I reconnected with one of my highschool friends who is now my permanent travel agent. She did a fantastic job dealing with all the issues and highly recommend her if you need a travel agent here is her link  https://www....

It was only Saturday afternoon when I started writing this blog is so much to do in this city. I felt like I had already done so much now it is Saturday evening and it has been a full day. Ottawa is interesting it goes from no events until May and then so many things all at once. The last two weekends I have had no plans but all the little events kept me busy. Today’s post is only about bigger events I saw on Saturday but there were also lots of small things and other big events all over.  This weekend I knew doors open Ottawa was happening and I asked my coworkers which buildings to go to. Most of the people that I asked who are from Ottawa or Quebec didn’t know what it was. I asked a few more people and got some suggestions but I didn’t have time to research where to go. I have only been in Ottawa for a year and think it’s great that there are so many interesting buildings here. Now it is Sunday afternoon and I only made it to one building so I also understand when you live somew...
