Westjet economy vs Air Canada business class

In June I knew I was going to Vancouver from Ottawa and if you know me I can’t buy anything unless it’s on sale. If you are new to my blog I lived in Vancouver almost my whole life and last year I moved to Ottawa so I go to Vancouver frequently to visit friends and relatives. The hotel I like to stay at usually sends me a personal promotional rate once a month. See my YouTube video here of the Riverrock hotel suite  Riverrock Hotel Richmond BC The hotel prices in Vancouver had increased significantly since the last time I visited in February. I had started looking to visit in May when I wanted to go to Plant Expo but the prices were too high. I still wanted to visit and I was looking at flights earlier. While searching I thought the business class flight is less than it normally costs to fly economy.  I was tempted to book it and cancel later if the hotel didn’t work out which I didn’t do it but I should have because if I booked it then would have been less than my economy flight I sti

March 15, 2017 - lunch at the pan pacific and butternut squash soup recipe

I missed a few weeks of blogging and looking at the pictures I hadn't downloaded yet I missed a lot of talking about food. I attended a wedding and a funeral in the last few weeks and got busy. I wanted to blog today about today so I don't forget. I had lunch with foodie buddy today. It was pouring rain when we met at the skytrain station so we decided to have lunch at the Pan Pacific as we could get to it without going outside. Lunch was finished when we went there but they had a bar menu. The view was amazing. We watched the harbour air planes come in and also saw people running really quickly on the roof of the convention center assuming they weren't supposed to be doing that.

view from our seat
The drink menu had non-spiritied drinks I was trying to choose between two different ones. The waiter suggested which one I should try. I can't remember what was in it but thought it was okay and overpriced.

Our food was much better. I had the mushroom ravioli and foodie buddy had a seafood club and salad. The thing that was wierd about the seafood club it had seafood and I think salmon fillet and also bacon even as a vegetarian I know that bacon and seafood aren't the right mix. My friend pulled the bacon out of the sandwich. My raviloli was really good and the king oyster mushrooms on top were very tasty. Our server was also very good it was a nice lunch.

The 40 day countdown to my fortieth is on right now I intended to eat healthier and workout for 40 days but its only day 38 and I wasn't very good today. I did upgrade my beachbody on demand membership after a few trials of country heat I know this is the workout for me. It is my program of choice for the next 30 days. Country heat is a line dancing workout my Autumn Calabrese the maker of 21 days fix. The workout isn't hard but the workout is fun and I have met her in real life and she really looks like she does in her pictures in real life of course it is 80% diet and I haven't looked at the diet part yet.

I visited whole foods on my way home and got things to make soup in my soup maker. This turned out perfectly I made a few earlier versions that were too bland, this time its very tasty.

Put one tablespoon of Ghee (grass fed clarified butter), the box of vegetable broth, the small container of pico de gallo, and frozen butternut squash in soup maker. Add water to line.
Close lid press button on smooth.
Wait for buzzer and you get this amazing soup.
