2025 Contest Prize Wins

  Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so I’m going to start a new post for 2025. I received the first prize of 2025. It took a little to get it because my friend picked it up for me. This was a prize pack from Ottawabloggers and Tiffinit. I thought the prize was just going to be spices as that is all the contest indicated. I got a basket with spices, some cookies that are likely not vegan, 2 toques and some other knickknacks that will be given to my non vegan friend. The spices smell really good and they are vegan. I don’t know what the value of this basket is so I’m going to estimate $50. value of prize $50 Total value of prizes 2025 $50 Thank you for reading. Vegan macaroni and cheese

  I was expecting to have a meal kit delivery from vegano foods but there was a delivery problem. This leaves me with no groceries or meal plan for the week. I decided it is time to use some of the ingredients I have in my apartment.  I had a box of daiya alfredo I used the sauce a long time ago and never used the brown rice pasta. I have a few types of vegan cheese so perfect to try vegan Mac and cheese.  This is the first time I have tried Sproud plant milk it’s pea based and thick so I thought it would be good for the sauce. Step one was adding melt vegan butter to the pan. Then around one cup of milk. Then spices I used curry powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper. I added a tablespoon of vegan sour cream to help thicken the sauce. After incorporating added half a cup each of vegan Parmesan, vegan cheddar, vegan mozzarella.  It melted well but it was salty. I added more milk, spices, and some water to fix the taste.  I had coated some of the pasta in olive oil...

Airfryer Pasta chips TikTok trend

I have been seeing the pasta chip trend all over Instagram. You cook the pasta normally then season and airfry it for ten minutes and you end up with crunchy chips. I have wanted to try but it as been too hot to cook anything until today.  This morning before I went out I boiled the pasta. I had bought these bigger shell pasta awhile ago to make a stuffed shell recipe. It was cheaper to buy 2 bags I didn’t know what I was going to do with the extra pasta until now.  I cut the pasta into thirds and decided to add most of the spices I have. Bagel seasoning, curry powder, nutritional yeast, cayenne, salt and pepper. I didn’t look up the recipe and also added some olive oil. The seasoning was good I ate some of the pasta from that plate.  I set the air fryer to 360 for ten minutes. When I checked on it half way I thought I probably should have looked up the recipe but after ten minutes they look great.    When I first tried them they were dry but I know everyone has...
