Vegan Eggnog Latte’s that were available in Ottawa December 2024

The world has been changing so rapidly. It is now March 2025 and I tried all the vegan eggnogs in December 2024. It is still snowing in Ottawa so it’s still winter. I don’t know if these businesses will still have the same drinks next year and thought about not posting this because it’s so late but I still want to showcase these businesses. They may not have eggnog latte’s anymore but they have other seasonal drinks.   The drink that inspired this post was a vegan eggnog latte from Les Moulins La Fayette Hintonburg. This is one of my favourite cafes in Ottawa they have amazing vegan sandwiches and even some vegan bakery items. Until I saw the sign outside last year I didn’t know they had vegan eggnog. I drank this drink for months last year it but I had forgotten about it. They use a house made syrup that I really enjoyed. Better Forking vegan Mac and cheese review

I found better forking Vegan Mac and cheese at Home Sense. It was $4.99 The ingredients are simple slightly different than other Mac and Cheese as it has potato and coconut flour in it. The instructions say to cook the pasta for 7-8 minutes but I found mine took 10 to cook.  I don’t always follow instructions when I cook but I am trying to have the same comparisons for all my mac and cheese reviews. Usually the instructions will say to make the sauce by adding vegan butter, plant milk, and cheese packet then add the pasta. The steps were slightly different on the box drain the pasta and quickly put it back in the pan. Add the butter stir. Add the powder stir. Add the plant milk stir. Then let sit for a couple minutes. I tried the pasta with seasoning before I added the milk and I really liked it. It tasted like nacho cheese powder. Update 2024: A beautiful spring weekend in Ottawa

It’s now May 2024 one year after I wrote this post thought it would be fun to compare to last year. A lot of things I did in the last week were similar to last year. I wasn’t feeling great on the weekend so there was more staying home. Today the holiday Monday was busy I babysat my brothers kids, then took the LRT to the mall and byward market it is one of the few things open on a holiday here. I’m ending the night sitting on my building’s rooftop and I can see fireworks from different directions but not high enough for me to get a good picture of. The sky is beautiful though. The rest of the post I will write below each section from last year. This is my first spring in Ottawa and it’s so beautiful especially after the long winter.
