2 ingredient High Protein Vegan Bagels with Gluten Free recipe

I know you are all going to ask for a recipe.  I don’t actually measure ingredients or follow recipes but I will try to give you a recipe at the end of the post.  I started by making a 2 ingredient bagel. This is usually made with self rising flour and yogurt. I don’t have self rising flour so I added a 1/2 each teaspoon of baking powder and baking soda. I also added 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast and a pinch of salt for flavour.  The only vegan yogurt I have tried that I like is the lime flavour high protein silk. I like the texture and the taste of this one. I was a bit worried that the lime flavour wouldn’t taste good in this bagel but I like the way it turned out. You can use any yogurt you want but try and use a thicker one. I used a third of a cup just add some and mix with a spoon until all the flour is incorporated.  I shaped it by hand let it rest for 5 minutes. Update on mturk earnings

If you read by post on New Year's goals you would have seen that at the time I was earning pennies on mturk. I really gave up on it until last weekend. I had some free time so decided to take a look at what was available to me. I did an activity that was like playing a video game for 15 minutes which was worth 0.50 for the work and then I got a $1.60 bonus on it. That hooked me in and I decided to see if I could earn $3.00 a day on it for the week. I spent a couple hours after work completing surveys while watching tv and once I discovered I could do it on my phone I did them on my commute. There was a couple of days where i was tired and didn't really feel like doing anything but I got lucky in that there was a $4 or $5 survey available. I never do anything that will take me longer than half an hour I don't have the patience. I have returned a lot of hits but that doesn't affect the stats so I would just try it see if it was a waste of my time and return it. I gave ...

March 24, 2017 Hair Manicure

Today I had my first ever hair manicure what is a hair manicure that is what I thought. I have never coloured my hair before and always said I would do it when I had more grey hair. As I am almost 40  I was starting to get a few more so decided I would try with my next hair cut. I made the appointment at my favourite salon Annex knowing they always give me good cuts its where I felt comfortable going. All the stylists are Japanese here and the girl on the phone didn't speak much English I couldn't really convey that it was my first time getting my hair coloured. Luckily the stylist I got had better English and was really patient in explaining this to me. She said I shouldn't colour my hair as my hair is really soft and it would damage it but they have something called a hair manicure which would be less damaging and also make the hair shiny I said sure. March 15, 2017 - lunch at the pan pacific and butternut squash soup recipe

I missed a few weeks of blogging and looking at the pictures I hadn't downloaded yet I missed a lot of talking about food. I attended a wedding and a funeral in the last few weeks and got busy. I wanted to blog today about today so I don't forget. I had lunch with foodie buddy today. It was pouring rain when we met at the skytrain station so we decided to have lunch at the Pan Pacific as we could get to it without going outside. Lunch was finished when we went there but they had a bar menu. The view was amazing. We watched the harbour air planes come in and also saw people running really quickly on the roof of the convention center assuming they weren't supposed to be doing that. view from our seat The drink menu had non-spiritied drinks I was trying to choose between two different ones.
