Vancouver to Alaska Cruise on Norweigan Sun Review

I started writing this on the last day of the cruise and now I have been back for months so the post will change from in the cruise to after. In summary it was great and all four of us ranging in ages from 9 to late 40’s we all want to go back. I bought a 24 hour internet package fot $35 so I can upload all my pictures and hopefully get this post done. I’m currently writing this while getting my hair done at the spa.  The cruise has been great but very busy. I’m having trouble staying awake. It’s now over a week later and I’m home. I had a plane fiasco where we sat on the runway for a few hours and then returned to the gate. I inevitably got sick after that and still am but I really want to get these Alaska cruise blog...

Vegetable Soup or Vegan Cheese Sauce?

I find it amazing that I can throw some vegetables in the soup maker press a button and after 25 minutes it transforms into something super delicious. 

This morning I defrosted some pizza sauce and then did not feel like making pizza. I thought I would try a vegan pizza soup. 


I had a giant sweet potato so I cut some into fry shapes and added the not good looking pieces into the soup maker. Then I added some vegan better than bullion chicken flavour. Half an onion, water, cashews, nutritional yeast, pizza sauce, curry powder, Mexican seasoning and water. I usually add some fat to the soup maker I forgot this time it turned out great. 

While the Soup maker was working I tossed the fries in cornstarch and sprayed with avocado oil. Then air fried them for 12 minutes. Adding a little oil part way through cooking. 

The soup tastes amazing and was a perfect dip for my fries.

2025 Contest wins updated Oct 2025

Last year I started keeping track of the prizes I won. You can read that post here  2024 Contest Prize Wins . It is a great post to have for memories so I’m going to start a new post for 2025. Updated October 2025 It’s mid October and I already have four prizes to write about  Updated September 2025 I received two more prizes from the Coke contest that I won the prize pack from in August. The first item was the emoji cup.  It’s a thicker cup but I think it’s a plastic cup with a wiggly straw. Nice cup but it’s not dishwasher safe so I will probably give it away. I just went to look up the value and people are selling this for $25. Its value is $14.99.  The best part of this prize was learning exactly what those mysterious lockers are for. I’ve lived in my building for three years we have Canada Post lockers, and a package room but there are these other lockers. None of my neighbors knew what it was for. Post Menopausal bleeding, ultrasounds, biopsy, women’s health center

If you haven’t read my previous blog posts about fibroids and UFE this post will make more sense after reading these posts   Recovery Six months after UFE   Fibroids, Ultrasound, MRI, UFE during a Pandemic Since I don’t have any pictures to go along with this post enjoy the scenery pictures that are from Vancouver and Ottawa. I went into menopause in my forties after having uterine fibroid embolization for fibroids. I was loving menopause not worrying about bleeding was so great. All the symptoms I had except for a few were easier than dealing with fibroid periods. I went to Jamaica with my friend in April and she got hers on the trip and I was like I don’t miss those days.
