Started 2025 with a trip to Las Vegas

It’s now December 31, 2025 Im drinking tea in an ice cream shop in Ottawa realizing I never finished this post. I drafted this post earlier in the year but it’s all still relevant.  The  way the world has changed in the last few months I feel like I need to explain that I went to Las Vegas in early 2025 because I knew things were going to change after January 20. I didn’t know how. I was expecting more violence and less direct flights. I never expected that things would change so quickly in a few months. It is now the beginning of March and it’s hard to keep up. Anyways flights and tourism to US destinations are already significantly reduced from Canada. I finished this trip knowing it would be awhile before I visited the US again and it was a pretty perfect trip for my memories and I am glad I took it.  I have been to Las Vegas many times you can read about some of my previous trips on this blog. Whole Foods, Heirloom restaurant, and Focus Group and internet Earnings

On Saturday my mom, brother, and brother's girlfriend went out for lunch to have an early celebration of my brothers girlfriends birthday. We went to Heirloom restaurant which is a place I have wanted to try for a long time. It had a vegetarian and a vegan menu there was a 20 minute wait to get a table and this was on Saturday at lunch time. I had a primo Benedict which was good but wasn't anything different than what I get in other places except it had guacamole and salsa instead of meat. My brother and my mom both wanted soup but they had just ran out and it would take them an hour to make a new one at least we know their food is fresh. My brother had a salad with a side of field sausage his salad was huge and had lots of mushrooms it was good. My mom had quinoa nut fritters and a pancake the fritters were exactly like something my mom would make tasted like a lentil fritter but it was good. The pancake was a buckwheat pancake it was okay.
